                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF PORTIONS OF AMNICOLA HIGHWAY,
                   RIVERSIDE DRIVE/RIVERFRONT PARKWAY, CHESTNUT
                   STREET AND 2ND STREET MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4, 1992
                   FOR "WALKFEST" SPONSORED BY THE CHATTANOOGA
                   CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN DIABETES
                   ASSOCIATION UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is authorized the
       temporary closing of the westbound lane adjacent to the shoulder
       and the shoulder of Amnicola Highway from the west entrance/exit
       of the Riverpark to Riverside Drive, the westbound lane adjacent
       to the shoulder and the shoulder of Riverside Drive/Riverfront
       Parkway from Amnicola Highway to Chestnut Street, the southbound
       curblane of Chestnut Street from Riverside Drive/Riverfront
       Parkway to 2nd Street, the eastbound curblane of 2nd Street from
       Chestnut Street to Broad Street on Sunday, October 4, 1992 from
       1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the presentation of "Walkfest"
       sponsored by the Chattanooga Chapter of the American Diabetes
       Association provided that auxiliary police shall assist the
       Chattanooga Police Department in providing traffic control and
       that the sponsors shall set out and pick up all flasher 
barricades
       and traffic control signs in accordance with the traffic control
       plan attached hereto and shall provide at all times an access 
lane
       for emergency vehicles.
